Julie Powell, DC, DACNB, RN, MSN, FNP, NP-C is a native Texan and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor’s degree of Biology-PreMed. Her doctorate license was obtained in 1997 from Parker College of Chiropractic. In 1998, she received her diplomate in Neurology from Cleveland College in Kansas City, MO. For the past 20 years, she has enjoyed a thriving practice in Plano and has enjoyed watching her patients grow!
In 2008, she furthered her career by enrolling in a Family Nurse Practitioner program. In 2011, she graduated summa cum laude from Samford University in Birmingham. For the past 7 years she has worked both in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott and White clinics.
She enjoys the outdoors on the tennis courts and golf courses. International travel is another passion with her favorite countries being Sweden and Ireland. She is a mother to a very active toddler and a wife to her loving husband!
Dr. Powell specializes in Family Practice and Urgent Care medicine in Tyler, Texas. Dr. Powell has 18 years of experience as an MD, her hospital affiliations are Trinity Mother Frances and University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. Education at University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and the University of Texas at Austin undergraduate. She is proud to be part of the team of Texas Elite Health Clinic, LLC as medical director.
Jessica has been a part of the practice since 2005 and plays a huge role in the daily billing responsibilities. She is a Certified Chiropractic Assistant and has completed numerous training courses and seminars. She is your point of contact for any questions regarding insurance coverage, benefit details, and billing concerns. Jessica is originally from Corpus Christi but has called DFW her home since 2004. She enjoys crafting, party planning, road trips, concerts and spending time with friends and family.
Carol joined the practice in 1998. She is an indispensable part of the team by managing the accounts payable of both locations. To better manage this process, she is proficient in QuickBooks Business Accounting Software. She resides in Carrollton with her husband, Charles Powell.
Patient Support/ Coordinator BHRT Program
Yehily (pronounced Jay-Lee) is the newest member of the Texas Elite team. She is your point of contact for any patient inquiries and prescriptions, as well as the lead coordinator of the Bio-Identical Hormone Program. Yehily was raised in Carrollton and graduated from R.L. Turner High School. She is a certified Medical Assistant from Brightwood College. She plans on continuing her education by becoming a Registered Nurse. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and fiancé.
